Featured Project

As a third-party designee under both NEPA and ESA, EDM analyzed potential impacts from a 115kV transmission line rebuild across multiple land jurisdictions with three federal oversight agencies. EDM navigated and facilitated complex interagency communications; assessed multi-disciplinary impacts across federal, state and private lands in a high-profile and biologically sensitive area; conducted an avian collision risk assessment across miles of a National Wildlife Refuge; implemented detailed wetlands analyses and mitigation planning; conducted pre-construction biological surveys; and managed construction and post-construction environmental monitoring. EDM’s specialized knowledge of avian risks and mitigation allayed agency concerns, substantially accelerating the permitting process and ultimately, project completion.
